Week 21: What is Huddling? Keep It Simple.

QUESTION
What if 3 simple questions fueled friendship & spiritual growth?

STORY
Josh felt overwhelmed by the idea of starting a group to tackle spiritual growth. But when he realized intentional friendship is simply connecting consistently around a couple of questions with his core friends, he gave it a shot. It wasn’t forced. It was real. Simplicity made it doable.

EXAMINE SELF
Have I made spiritual connection too complicated—instead of starting small and simple?

SCRIPTURE
“Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20

QUOTE
“Big change starts with a small core of friends.” – Jeff Kemp

TIP
Start with these 3 Huddling Questions:

  1. How are you doing?…Really?
  2. What is the most important thing you need to talk about today?
  3. What is the most important thing I can pray for you?

Bonus Question: What is Father God saying to you through His word today?

PRAY, CONFESS & REPENT
Lord, I confess I’ve made life harder than it needs to be. Forgive my hesitation to grow and engage in real friendship. Help me embrace the simple commitment to core friendships with a spiritual purpose.

COACHING
You don’t have to lead a huddle to grow. Just be consistent, honest, and willing to go first.

ACTION STEP
Set up a meeting this week (or use your scheduled meeting) with 1 or 2 core friends to check-in with these 3 questions.

COMMITMENT
This week, I will invite at least one guy to huddle with these simple yet revealing questions.

HABIT
Agree and keep a scheduled huddle time each week to check-in with the 3 questions. Keep it consistent, flexible, even if brief.

TALK & PRAY WITH FRIENDS
Ask a friend, “How can we consistently huddle to process our lives with these 3 questions?”
