Make your verbs bigger than cook, eat, and watch (football)

,

Part of our family arrived today to celebrate Thanksgiving and enjoy time together (and play at Gramma & Grampa’s).

This week, let’s make our verbs bigger than cook, eat, and watch (football).
Let’s aim our hearts toward God and one another.

THINK gratefully about God’s magnificent, loving character.

REMEMBER & DECLARE our Father made us, and we belong to Him (Psalm 100).

DESIRE closeness with God—to trust Him, experience His faithful love, and let Him lead our every step (Psalm 143).

PRAISE, HONOR & DISCUSS His greatness, goodness, grace, compassion, closeness, strength, and eternal reign (Psalm 145).

GIVE thanks—and give others a chance to voice theirs.

RECEIVE the epic magnitude of God’s grace in Jesus and His better-than-our-own leadership over life.

RECEIVE your family members as they are—seeing their God-given gifts, and trusting Him with who they’re becoming.

SURRENDER them to God with prayer—trusting Him to do His very best in, for, and through them, in His timing and for His glory.

And finally—

AFFIRM your core friends and their deep value in your life.

Grateful to God as we seek the Way of Jesus in all areas,

Jeff
